Welcome to the fourth edition of the Images Shopping Centre Awards - the highest recognition of the achievements of the developers of Shopping Centres in India.
The various awards and their descriptions are as follows
FORM A
1. Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year - Metros (Population more than 40 lac )
2. Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year - Mini Metros (Population between 10-40 lac)
3. Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – Non Metros (Population less than 10 lac)
4. Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year - Small (Less than 2 lac sq ft of GLA)
5. Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year - Medium (Between 2 – 4 lac sq ft of GLA)
6. Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year - Large (More than 4 lac sq ft of GLA)
7. Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year - Specialty Mall (Luxury, Furniture, Value Retail, Jewellery, Food Mall etc)
8. Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year - North
9. Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year - South
10. Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year - East
11. Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year - West
AWARD 1 – 11:
The criteria for performance assessment includes:-
1. Facts mentioned in self-nomination forms such as growth in revenue, per sq ft realization, footfalls etc.
2. Voting by Industry experts
3. Voting by High Profile Jury consisting of Large Format Retailers across Food, Fashion, Department stores, Entertainment etc.(AWARD 1-15)
AWARD 1: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – Metros (Population 40 lac plus)
Eligibility for this award is restricted to Shopping Centres located in the eight metropolitan cities of India – Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Pune with a population of more than 40 lac.
AWARD 2: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year- Mini Metros (Population 10-40 lac)
Eligibility for this award is restricted to Shopping Centres located in the Mini Metro cities such as Kanpur, Lucknow, Surat etc. with a population between 10 lac and 40 lac
AWARD 3: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – Non Metros (Population less than 10 lac)
Eligibility for this award is restricted to Shopping Centres located in cities with a population less than 10 lac.
AWARD 4: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – Small (Less Than 2 Lac Sq ft of GLA)
This award is meant for the small sized Shopping Centres with Gross Leasable Area of less than 2 lac sq ft.
AWARD 5: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – Medium (In-Between 2 – 4 Lac Sq ft of GLA)
This award is meant for the medium sized Shopping Centres with Gross Leasable Area between 2 – 4 lac sq ft.
AWARD 6: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – Large (More Than 4 Lac Sq ft of GLA)
This award is meant for the large sized Shopping Centres with Gross Leasable Area of more than 4 lac sq ft.
AWARD 7: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year - Specialty Malls
This award is for the Shopping Centres whose tenancy mix comprises specialty retailers from a single key segment such as Luxury, Furniture, Jewellery, Value Retail, Food etc.
AWARD 8: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – North
The award honors the Shopping Centre located in the Union Territories (UT) and states of North India, which has made an impact on mall development and has acquired iconic status amongst the other Shopping Centres of the region.
(UT and States of North India – Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal)
AWARD 9: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – South
The award honors the Shopping Centre located in the Union Territories (UT) and states of South India, which has made an impact on mall development and has acquired iconic status amongst the other Shopping Centres of the region.
(UT and States of South India – Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andaman & Nicobar)
AWARD 10: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – East
The award honors the Shopping Centre located in the Union Territories (UT) and states of East India, which has made an impact on mall development and has acquired iconic status amongst the other Shopping Centres of the region.
(UT and States of East India – Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Tripura)
AWARD 11: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – West
The award honors the Shopping Centre located in the Union Territories (UT) and states of West India, which has made an impact on mall development and has acquired iconic status amongst the other Shopping Centres of the region.
(UT and States of West India – Daman & Diu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh)

AWARD 12: Most Admired Shopping Centre Launch of the Year 2010-11
The award recognizes the most successful launch of a Shopping Centre during the period 1st April 2010 to 31st March 2011.
FORM C + FORM A
AWARD 13: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – Design & Architecture (2010-11)
This award recognizes creativity and excellence with respect to Shopping Centre design.
FORM D
AWARD 14: Most Admired Shopping Centre Developer of the Year
This award honors a developer (organization / company) that has successfully created two or more Shopping Centres.
FORM E + FORM A
AWARD 15: Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year: Marketing and Consumer Promotion
This award is for a Shopping Centre that has conducted the most innovative, creative and successful marketing and promotions for end consumers.
